WMI localized MOF file Reference

An .mfl file contains localized text for WMI classes on Windows. The file uses the Managed Object Format syntax. It supplies class and property descriptions in one language, and it pairs with a language-neutral .mof file. The MOF compiler reads both files into the WMI repository. Each supported language has its own .mfl file.

A file extension is only a part of the file name. It does not give a guarantee about the format or the content of a file. But on Windows, the extension selects the program that opens the file.
