Speech recognition grammar Reference

A .grxml file contains a speech recognition grammar in XML. The format follows the Speech Recognition Grammar Specification, SRGS, a standard of the W3C. The grammar defines the words and phrases that a speech engine can accept. Speech platforms on Windows load .grxml files for voice commands. Each grammar applies to one language.

A file extension is only a part of the file name. It does not give a guarantee about the format or the content of a file. But on Windows, the extension selects the program that opens the file.
