Group Policy template resource

A .tmpll file is a template resource of Windows Group Policy. The known file is startergpo.tmpll, which belongs to the starter Group Policy objects feature. Windows stores it in the component store WinSxS, inside language resource components. The related extension .tmplx belongs to the same template set. The files are not for manual use.

A file extension is only a part of the file name. It does not give a guarantee about the format or the content of a file. But on Windows, the extension selects the program that opens the file.
